■Y/N's POV■

I'm currently boiling some soba. Yesterday the store was closed because Naoyasu and I held our wedding. Our wedding is based on a deal.

When I'm trying to get the water away from the noodle, my uncle came into the kitchen.

Yamato: Y/N, you should leave the store now...

I look at my watches

Why should I leave? We're close at 9

Y/N: it's only 5, uncle, are we closing early?

My uncle sighs and stares at me.

Yamato: Y/N... you're married yesterday... you have a husband now... I mean I know you both have work and postponed your honeymoon, but don't you at least want to spend your day eating dinner together?

Dub dub

I forgot that my uncle and the other doesn't know about Naoyasu's and my marriage is actually just a plan to make grandpa happy, and prevents me from being set up by my uncle.

Uncle came to me with a bag and hands it to me.

Yamato: here, take this... it seems like Soba with wild veggies is his favorite... you can cook this at home... you can take a day off from the restaurant too you know...

I feel bad...

I'm practically lying to my uncle and family. I take the bag and nod at him.

Y/N: r-right... hehe... I'm sorry I forgot...

Yamato: you're weird... well, now go and enjoy the evening with him... from now on you can leave at 5

Uncle took off my apron and pushes me out of the restaurant. I wave at him as he waves and smiles at me.

I turn on my heels and head home, to Naoyasu's apartment.

■Kuguri's POV■

I'm walking into the convenience store around my apartment, buying some instant food. I head to my apartment, slightly tired from today's work.

I greet the security on the first floor and  go up to where my unit is. I enter the passcode to my place and open the door.

The moment I step inside the hall, a good smell is in the air, hitting my nose and makes my stomach grumble. Then a sweet voice came from across the hallway, along with Y/N who peeks from the other side of the hall.

Y/N: Welcome home Naoyasu san...

Dub Dub

She's already home?

Coming home to delicious smell and being greeted by someone is startling me, in a good way.

Kuguri: I'm... home...

I walk further inside, heading to where the source of the smell is. Y/N is facing away from me, cooking in the kitchen. And then she turns around.

Y/N: Naoyasu san, I have prepared a bath... maybe you want to soak yourself fir- wait... is that instant food?

I look at the bag in my hand and notices that Y/N is already standing in front of me.

Y/N: instant food?

Kuguri: ah I thought you're still at the restaurant...

Y/N: do you always eat this?

I look at her, she's intensely staring at me. I don't know why she looks as if she is glaring.

Not scary at all...

Kuguri: I uh, when I'm not eating out with Amaha or my colleagues... well... yeah, it's the easiest...

Y/N takes the bag from me and walks to the fridge.

Y/N: Naoyasu you really don't change that much...

Y/N puts the food inside the fridge and looks at me.

Y/N: you can't eat that all the time it's not healthy you can eat this for breakfast tomorrow because we cannot waste this... but tomorrow don't buy this kind of things that often... I'll cook for you...

Her eyes stare at me as she walks back to the stove. I walk closer and sees that she's making broth.

Y/N: Uncle gave me some ingredients, he noticed that you seem fond of Soba with wild veggies...

Y/N tastes the broth and then takes another spoon and blows it before offering it to me.

Y/N: want to taste it? Will this be enough?

I was startled when she holds the spoon in front of me and I leans in to taste it. The rich flavor is spreading inside my mouth.

Good...

Kuguri: it's really good...

A smile showing on her face.

Y/N: okay, I'm gonna make the noodle and getting the veggies ready. Naoyasu you can go and take a bath first okay?

This is nice ..

I nod my head and head to the bathroom, seeing that the warm bath is ready. I look back at where Y/N is, my heart flutters at the sight of her.

This feels way too good...

After taking a bath I head to the dining table and sit there. Y/N skillfully serves me the food.

Kuguri: isn't the restaurant close at 10?

Y/N place the bowl in front of me and then walks to her side and sits.

Y/N: uncle told me to go home at 5 now... because I have husband...

I could see there's a pink tint on her cheeks.

Y/N: it's uh... they want me to spend more time with my husband so that's why... um anyway, no more instant food for dinner... I'll make us dinner...

Us...

The words make my chest feels warm and the warmth spreads through my whole body. The sight of her eating across from me makes me happy.

It's nice...

Kuguri: it's nice...

Y/N looks up at me and tilts her head a little.

Y/N: yes?

How is she looks so pretty when she welcomes me earlier. Her mere presence could warm my apartment and my heart.

Kuguri: it's nice not being alone at this time... coming home to someone, feels nice... I'm glad you're here...

I really am...

■3rd Person POV■

Y/N's face turns red when she hears Kuguri says that. She watches as the man in front of her starts eating.

Kuguri: thanks for the food...

Y/N: ah, yes... please enjoy...

The two eat together in each other's presence. Back then they ate together during lunch break or on dates. Right now, they eat under the same roof that they call their home.

Y/N was about to to take Kuguri's dirty dishes but he took hers instead and brings it to the sink.

Y/N: Naoyasu?

Kuguri: you cooked, I wash...

Kuguri starts washing the dirty plates and pots, but then Y/N comes and stands next to him.

Y/N: let's do it together... it'll be faster that way...

Kuguri didn't argue with that and the two wash those dirty dishes together.

After that, they sit in the living room and talks about their day while watching a comedy reality show.

After a while, when the clock shows that it's ten. Kuguri turns off the TV and the two get up. They walk to their own room but before going in, they say good night to each other.

Y/N: good night Naoyasu...

Kuguri looks at Y/N and he nods.

Kuguri: good night... have a nice dream...

The two walk into each of their room. Y/N gets on her bed and couldn't help but think about what Kuguri said earlier.

"Kuguri: it's nice not being alone at this time... coming home to someone, it feels nice... I'm glad you're here..."

She's living in the same house with his ex who's suddenly became her husband. Seeing how he says sweet things to her, her heart couldn't help but racing.

In the other room, Kuguri is staring out from his window while sitting in his bed. He then let his body falls backwards and stares at the ceiling.

Remembering how nice it feels when Y/N welcomes him home. He thinks of why did they do this because of a deal when they were so in love with each other.

Kuguri: if I don't mess up back then... this won't be a marriage based on a deal... and I... don't have to be afraid that she will someday walk out of my life...

The two are thinking about each other...
